I listened to a lot of local bands from Seattle, like: Queensryche, Metal Church and Forced Entry, but the bulk of the bands I really liked were from Europe, like: Destruction, Kreator, Coroner and King Diamond.

I really like guitar players with a classical influence, as well as players like Allan Holdsworth and Pat Metheny.

I moved to the Bay Area for it's music scene in 1990. Needless to say, it was very dissatisfying. Blitzenhamer was the first metal band I’d met that had the right idea of what a good metal band should be.
