I lived in Poughkeepsie until I was nine, then moved to San Jose when my father was transferred to Santa Teresa. I received a classical guitar for Christmas in 1981 and started taking lessons at Reik Music in San Jose.

In 1982, we moved back to Poughkeepsie where I graduated High School and continued my lessons in classical guitar under N. Vecchio until 1986, when he died of cancer (R.I.P.). I acquired my first electric guitar, a Fender Stratocaster, in 1985, continued to teach myself after 1986.

I learned from listening to the likes of AC/DC, Judas Priest, Accept and Motorhead, and attending concerts all over New York and New Jersey.

In 1988, I went to college in Troy, New York. In 1992, I caught S.O.D. at their reunion at the Ritz in NYC and screamed the "die," in the song: "Speak English or Die.

In 1993, I graduated college and moved to the San Francisco Bay Area. I joined the band in November, 1994, and have been metal thrashing mad ever since.
